DIY Mint for Me Photo Bookmark
This project was inspired by a love of books and an old bookmark I’ve had for a long while, and a Valentine pun.
This is a great non-sugary treat for a book lover or it can even be made into many copies for elementary school classroom valentines for a bunch of emerging young readers to help them keep their place, and could be paired with a small Valentine’s goody such as a lollipop or mini chocolate bar (a mint chocolate bar would be spectacular).
Use Print and Cut for a Quick Project
This is super quick and only uses two pieces of paper, some string and a plastic party present bag. It’s made primarily with print and cut, but the eyes and mouth can be cut out individually and glued on and so forth. This was printed on colored cardstock but could also be printed on white cardstock if desired. Assembly only takes a little bit over ten minutes.
Personalize Photo Pocket
This bookmark has a pocket for an added photo to personalize it and make it extra special! For other occasions or just because this bookmark could be embellished with a different element and a different sentiment and while keeping the special photo pocket.
Supplies:
2 – 8.5 by 11 inch cardstock in choice of 2 coordinating shades, one dark, one light
Crafter’s tape
1 no-gusset plastic present bag (approximately 7.1 by 4.7 inches)
24 inches of string or craft floss (embroidery floss)
