As a mother of young children I always appreciate a valentine that doesn't include sugar. Inevitably the valentine sacks come home packed to the brim with candy. After they have made themselves sick on chocolate and conversation hearts, they actually sit down and read the messages from their friends. I thought this tic tac toe game would be a great valentine activity to extend the fun just a bit longer. Put a personalized note inside with the Xs and Os and tuck the heart shaped tab closure into place on the back.
Create a special box to have at home to share love notes with family members. You don't have to have it out just for Valentine's Day, rather leave it up all year and once a week/month, have a special family night to share with each other.
. On Valentine's Eve I can usually be found rummaging through my craft supplies in an attempt to create something nice for my children's teachers. It's always a last minute effort on my part, but the kids love to take something special to their teacher.
Have you noticed the gold trend that has invaded every aspect of home décor, clothing, jewelry and now scrapbooking. I'm seeing gold everywhere as scrapbook companies start to give sneak peaks of their new lines. A more specific version of the gold trend is gold dipped items. I've seen colorful gold dipped jewelry and decorative bottles and mugs that have been gold dipped. I thought it would be fun to create a card that translated that trend into paper.
These Push Pop Valentines are quick and easy to make. Just a little bit of vinyl on the outside, fill with the item of your choice, add string and a tag and you are all done. When I decided this is what I wanted to create, I had to first find the empty containers. So I googled, "push pop containers" and found quite a few options. You can get them in large bulk up to 100, or just a few, and they are fairly inexpensive. If you want to use them, order them as soon as you can, so you aren't scrambling at the last minute. Also, be sure and check your local craft stores.
Pucker up for a big Valentine kiss, chocolate kiss that is! My daughter loves the flavored straws that turn a glass of milk into a chocolate, or strawberry shake. I had a bundle on my counter for the kids after school and thought they would make a great simple valentine. Slide the straw through the slits on the chocolate kiss, attach the sentiment to the straw, and give to your special Valentine.
Another easy valentine idea coming your way today. One of the highlights of my childhood were color your own stickers. I guess I was a paper lover even then. I remember I thought it was so cool to design them how I wanted and have them be real stickers. I'm bringing them back today with this Rainbow Valentine set.
“Hop” to it, and create this cute froggy bug box. It’s perfect for the family, or even a classroom, and a fun way to get everybody involved. Cut out extra bugs and sentiments and leave then on the table. Even better, make extra ones that are blank and see what this cute little frog is able to “catch”. It’s bound to make a “buzz” this Valentine’s Day, and no doubt everyone will want to be in on all the fun. Make someone special "croak" with laughter! Ribbit!!
This week my office got a little wild. I've had these adorable animals hanging around all week, but now it's finally time for me to share them with you.
I am a strong believer that you should enjoy your workout, and part of that is feeling good […]
Valentine's Day is a big deal for most kids in elementary school. Every year parents need to come up with a Valentine idea for each child and make enough for all of their classmates. That can be a daunting task, especially if you have several children. I can't help with the quantity you need to make but I did create a card that will please all the kids no matter what grade they are in.
Valentine’s Day is so much fun!! I love making all the valentines for my kiddos classes. Of course owning a Pazzles really helps with that! Every year I get asked, “where did you find those valentines?” They are always impressed when I tell them I made them myself. Well, get ready to impress!
My kids have quite a few elementary years under their belts and there have been a few years when teachers have had "rules" about classroom valentines. One year they had to be completely flat and one year they had to be addressed with full fake street addresses, but the most common request is no candy. In my opinion Valentine's Day is ALL about the candy, but we try to follow the rules.
Today’s card is a pocket card. And by pocket card we mean it is literally a pocket. Klo […]
I sometimes have a hard time coming up with something to make for my husband, because I don't want it to be too feminine or too sporty, because my husband falls kind of in the middle of that. He is just a basic guy that doesn't want to get flowers and ribbons, and I'm more of a sports fan than he is. That is what made me think of doing this simple heart box. It is neutral enough that I think he will just love it. Of course, I picked out his favorite king size candy bars (some of my favorite too, because I'm sure he will want to share).
Hello Craft Room Friends. Melinda here with you today sharing the February calendar/scrapbook page. February has the wonderfully iconic celebration of Valentine’s Day. So I decided to work with the pretty title created and run with the theme of hearts.
Well good-bye 2016. A new year has begun! What a better way to ring it in than to make this fun perpetual calendar! Since you will be using your Pazzles Vue you can customize it any way you like.
Before I got my first cutter, I was an avid scrapbooker. Before that I was an avid stamper. […]
These mugshot boards are so much fun and can be used for any kind of party including New Year's Eve, birthday party, and bachelorette parties. I've made three different versions so that you can use whichever seems to be the best fit for your party. These are cheap, really easy, and make for a killer social media picture! I also used the Giant Wall Ruler file and black wall vinyl (which can be removed without damaging your paint). Have fun!
Now that the holidays have passed, we need to consider those poor folks who celebrate their Birthdays during the cold winter months. No picnics, no pool parties, and no outdoor celebrations. However, with our Pazzles die cut machines, one of the adorable designs from the craft room, and some ingenuity, we can create a lovely card that is snuggly and warm like a soft blanket.
