When my daughter was young, she had beautiful long blonde hair and she always wanted ‘pretties’ for her hair. We had different kinds, there were “circle pretties”, “clippy pretties” and some basic “headband pretties” that I attempted to make, some were okay, but I didn’t have the Pazzles in those days.
Over the holiday, my son and his family came and visited. They have two girls and they also like “pretties” for their hair, so we made a WHOLE BUNCH of them.
I used marine vinyl that I bought from the fabric store. When I put my marine vinyl on my mat, I used blue painters tape to help hold it in place on the mat, as the marine vinyl wanted to shift. For my settings, I used Blade Depth 5, Pressure 16-18 and Speed 2.
I used a hot glue gun to hold the pieces together. After they were all all done, we added a piece of velcro to each piece, then we got a few different head bands and put velcro on them. Now they can be changed out and not have to worry about having a bunch of headbands.
We store them all on a velcro strip and can easily change them out depending on what you want to wear. This is my granddaughter showing off one of them.
Pretty grandaughter! I am going to try the pretties for my 6 grandaughters. They will have so much fun with them. Thanks for the idea KLO.

Beautiful granddaughter! Pretty “pretties”. My granddaughters would love these.
Klo, you are so gifted; you never cease to amaze me. They are of course beautiful, as is your grand daughter. Dana
Oh what a lovely idea. That’s something to try. I will have to see what kind of vinyl we can get here in SA.
Very cute.
Sweet. I have been wanting to make some of these for my daughter for awhile now but never would have thought of marine vinyl. Thanks again for another great tip.
Darling, and I have two grand daughters… Question, where do you buy marine vinyl? thanks, Trina
I *think* you can get marine vinyl at Joanns
What is marine vinyl- how is it different from “vinyl”?
Marine vinyl is more like an upholstery type material. They use it on boats to cover those seats.
