May Guest Designer: Adeline Brill

Paint-Layout-Adeline-Brill

Please help us welcome our special Pazzles Guest Designer this month: Adeline Brill!

My husband and I recently painted several rooms in our home.  While painting each room and using our ‘vintage’ ladders, I was inspired to document the life of these two ladders. My go-to source for design ideas is the Pazzles Craft Room. My first choice is the Cut and Paste Sketches and I selected the sketch,  A Day in the Life.

I welded one of the photo mats to create the popular Polaroid frame and then sized them to fit my three photos. I smudged them with chalk to create the splotches of paint on the ladders. For the title of the page I used the Painted Title Block and added the lettering using the Pen Tool. I found the perfect wood-grained paper for the background and then used papers to match the newly painted walls of my home. For the paint colors, I used the actual paint chips from the hardware store. The Paint Can & Brush file doubles as an accent and a journaling box when it is opened. I always take before and after pictures of our house projects and this page will be a perfect addition for that photo album. Paint-Layout-Journaling-Adeline-Brill

Great Job Adeline, I totally love this, we get so caught up in taking pictures with people in it to scrapbook and sometimes its awesome to capture the process. I’m finding as the kids move out and on their own I have less and less pictures of people so this is a great Idea.

Super cute Adeline! When future generations are painting on hover boards they will need to be reminded of the dangerous ways we spruced up our houses 😉 (LOL)

This is such a cute page. I was on Pinterest yesterday and found the neatest spilled paint cans made from paper. It was fun to see a paint themed scrapbook page on the blog today. I feel inspired!

I agree with auntie-marg… I have learned to take pictures of everyday things to record the memories of the things around us. This is a great layout.May hafta get out the camera and some paper. Thanks for the Inspiration.

Hey, Addie! Congrats on a great page and getting to be a “guest designer”! A well deserved honor, for sure. (Since you might not recognize the “mswhizz”, this is September.)

Never thought to scrapbook a ladder. When my grandson was about 5 I ordered one of those fancy smancy ladders that Nasa uses in the television videos. My grandson was here when it was delivered and he got so excited. He said “Oh my goodness Grandy. You do know that is the best ladder ever made. Nasa even uses them!” He went on to tell me all the things it could do. I will have to take a picture of him with it now that he is seventeen. (Maybe I’ll get him to clean the gutters…lol.)

What a great idea! I would not have thought to use the paint chip samples in this way. I like how you used chalk to simulate paint smudges. Thank you for sharing.

Welcome. Very cool LO. I like your use of the files. Great thinking outside the box! I really like what you did with the paint can. Clever.

What a great layout! I love that you used the paint can for some hidden journaling! Fantastic job!
