Here at Pazzles, many of us have been putting in a lot of hours creating new images for the Craft Room Image Library. Each week we get together to share our creations and I have to say it is one of my favorite parts of the week. We have been doing this for several months now and over that time I’ve come to realize that each one of us has our own unique style when creating cutting files. These styles now seem so distinct to me that I could easily pick out one of their designs from a line up. Of course all artists – painters, photographers, musicians, scrapbookers – have their own style so why not us “vectorizers”? I’m sure there are many things that influence each of our style, our scrapbooking style being the most influential. However there are other things that I think affect us as well such as where we draw inspiration from, our personal abilities with the software, and our favorite tools in the software. So what is your style? What influences your style when you are creating images?

Mmmmm? I am not sure, I like to make files of images that I know that I am going to use more than one time , I really like the messy collage style but I end up with clean strait clean lines on my projects, for paper piecing I like dark likes instead of inking with a pad, I don’t know how to define my style but I will like to be more messy on my projects and when I create my images on my Pazzles.
Oh, that’s an easy one! I love, love, LOVE creating cute original paper piecings with my cutter! I am a fan of layouts with clean, straight lines and I always include tags or matted blocks for journaling. I usually start my layouts with a catchy page title and build the design out from there. Anyone who knows me knows that fun, bright colors are totally my thing too. My favorite sources of inspiration are seasonal and holiday themes.
I don’t know what my style is. I like to come up with all different types of files. I do a lot of files with word art type stuff, and I love to challenge myself with detailed files. It is always fun to see how projects turn out!
The funny thing is that I love looking through the scrapbooking books and admire the works of others who have a lot of cluttery things on the page….and yet it always looks so nice. But, in my real world where I usually put several pictures on one page, I tend to go for clean mats or overlays with little clutter. I do like to edge with paper lace though. I love paper lace and design a lot of it. I love to design paper pieced items and yet rarely use them for myself. It is usually for someone else. I just like designing!
I am not sure what my style is. I typically use cutter files that were created by others and add to them or use clipart and create paper piecings out of them but I never think of them as ” my ” creations. Paper lace sounds cool; will have to give it a try. Dana
For me, it is usually easier to say what my style is NOT…..rather than what it is. I am not too serious, so most of my layouts and designs are more on the whimsical side. I like to try different things for different layouts and not always have them too similar, but I’m sure whatever truly defines my ‘style’ keeps appearing in my layouts as a common theme, even if it’s not obvious to me!
I don’t have a style, I just put down whatever works with my photos and the feeling I want to convey with the page. I like clean and linear projects, mish-mashed collage style and altered. Whatever works with my theme. Of course, if you are asking what type of images I like to create with the Creative Cutter, I go for fun titles with graphics!!
I guess I would have to say my style is Paper Piecing with clean lines, fun topics and bright colors! I LOVE designing with my Pazzles. Never before Have I been able to create the fun paper piecings I do now with a software and cutter program like this!
Well my style for sure would be cutsey type of stuff….hum did i spell that right….I love love making boxes and adding lots of ribbons….I also love paper piecing..I am a paper piecing ADDICT…I use my pazzles for all types of paper piecing projects, lately have been into make a bunch of scallop stuff and shaped cards..
My style is so different at different times. But I do find myself going back to whimsical and fun, I also like clean straight lines, so I do make myself go outside my box once in a while, but I seem to crawl back in fairly quickly.
