Word Books have been around for a while. Did you know that the ‘craze’ got a huge boost when one of our Pazzles Design Team member created one on her pazzles machine many years ago? Also, one of our past design teams had a word book challenge, here are some of the things that they did.
Last week, we had two classes on creating word books. I showed you two different styles, so you can make them the way you want.. They are archived on the class page The date for the classes are July 24 and 26, 2011, there is also a class on June 30, 2010. In addition to the class, Christine has a wonderful video (it is towards the bottom of the page) to show you how she does it (hers is the same as the style in the Tuesday class.) Even if you are a new to your Pazzles, this is something you can do, because basically you are using a square and letters.
I love using word books in the ‘non-traditional’ way. I have made them smaller and used them as a card, plus I think they would be great to use as a birthday party. Cut them out for everyone and let them assemble them, using photos from the party would not only be a fun activity, but a great party favor. I would love to see what you create. Did you know that cereal boxes are perfect for these? Also, it gives you the opportunity to recycle.
If you haven’t joined us for a challenge yet, this is a great time to do it. The purpose of our challenges are to get you to use your pazzles and maybe help you doing something out of your comfort zone. You have an amazing machine and we want to help you realize the potential of things you can do with it. We do a random drawing with the people that participate, and then you get to pick your own prize. Be sure and go here to see what amazing prizes you can choose from.
So post your word book to the August Challenge Album and let us see your word book.
Ok I better get to working on this as I need to win a case for my inspiration to travel to the retreat. LOL
Ok I am going to do this challenge! I am going to try and do both methods. Klo’s lesson helped me design one so easily, I was amazed. I need to try the double sided paper word book.
Marjorie see you at the retreat: )
I’ve got my pages designed and I found two cereal boxes I can use so I’m off to create. 🙂
I am in! I just finished cutting the “skeleton” of my word book and now I need to decorate it. I love word books!
