Make Custom Photo Frames

Die Cut Pocket Page FramesHave you discovered the newest movement in Scrapbooking? It goes by different names: Project Life, or Simple Stories for example. It differs from the scrapbooking we are used to because it reverts back to the pocket type page protectors. Do you remember those from years ago? Each photo slipped into a pocket. You might have a spot for writing what the photo was about but that was pretty much all you did. The updated version of this is so much better!

Now, you have pockets of different sizes. Some pockets might hold photos and some may have a journaling page. There are all kinds of products that can be purchased to make the groupings look great. There are stickers, diecuts, special journaling inserts and pretty frames to go over the top of your pictures.

I think it is a fabulous idea and I am ready to jump into this with both feet! I simply don’t have time to scrap on 12″ x 12″ pages anymore. This method though, is very do-able. I already bought an album and some of the pocket page protectors. I also dug up a couple albums I had purchased at Costco a few years ago.

What I am NOT going to buy is all of the accessories! Why should I? I can make virtually everything I need with my Inspiration. The titles, the cut outs and the photo frames are so easy and I can make them custom to my pictures.

Watch my video to see how you can make photo frames using the Subtract Weld function in our software. Then go search on the internet for more ideas on how to try this fun scrapbooking trend.

p.s. The cutting files for the 3 frames above are included. Plus you can follow along with the video and make your own frames!

    Justina,

Have you tried all of the different versions of the video, including Low-Res?

If you have tried all three and still have problems, Dave recommends that you install or update your QuickTime Video player. It usually works with any browser and often solves the problem. Here’s the link:

I’m doing project life and my husband gave me the Pazzles for my birthday precisly to make my own embellishments for it! I’d be really happy if you post other ideas for project life.
    Thanks!
