I am often found browsing the shops looking for bargains that I can decorate for gifts. Recently I found these cheap glass jars and knew I could jazz them up and make them look pretty with vinyl!
In the Craft Room Library I found the Double Scallop and Lattice Borders. I used some string to measure around the glass jar. Then using my software, I re-sized my lattice border accordingly selecting Width in the Transformation menu. The vinyl cut like butter using my Inspiration Creative Cutter. Using my transfer tape with my cut vinyl, I carefully wrapped it around my glass jar.
I made myself a sentiment using the Scallop Mat with my Pen Tool, then I adhered it to a white stick. I embellished the jars with ribbon and paper roses from my crafting stash.
Finally—having eaten far too many of the bonbons—I filled my glass jars for a perfect gift for one of my friends!

What a great idea Joanna, love it!!
What a great way to turn something plain, into something beautiful! I love that double scallop and lattice cutting file and it worked great for this project. Love it!
I do the same thing! Look for inexpensive items to personalize and update using my Inspiration, that is. These are great, Joanna. You did a wonderful job and certainly deserved the bonbons!
You forgot to mention what kind of candy you put in the jar!!! It looks yummy! 😉
I will have to try this. The plain jar went from rags to riches.
