Join us for a fun- and educational weekend in San Diego/La Jolla, California, where Klo and I will teach you all kinds of amazing techniques that you can do with your Pazzles Inspiration. There will be projects, goody bags, and door prizes galore. There will also be plenty of time to relax and indulge in all the luxuries that San Diego and La Jolla have to offer!

We have reserved a block of sleeping rooms so be sure and reserve your room before the September 15, 2013 cut off date. You don’t want to miss the great price we have negotiated for you. A buffet breakfast is included, as well as a manager’s reception in the evenings, which includes snacks and full bar and other drinks.  Pazzles is providing lunch on Friday and Saturday.

Please Note:

• In order to make it easier to teach everyone we require Pazzles Inspiration Studio Pro software. If you do not own it already, you can purchase it when you register.

• A payment plan is available—please see the registration form. (Registration information is below the video link.)

• The retreat is for intermediate and advanced learners. We will not be reviewing beginner basics. In order to get the most benefit from the classes you should brush up on your skills. Please watch the video below, What to Know Before You Go.

• We are asking everyone to take the Are You Ready for a Retreat? test that is posted online. This will tell you what you are expected to know before you come to the retreat. (You are not required to pass the test before coming but we will not be reviewing these skills in class.) Click here to take the test and type in PAZZLES (all caps) for the password. Please note that the score you receive will not reflect any write-in answers since Pazzles must review those separately.

Knowing the basics of your computer and the Inspiration Studio software will make your retreat experience more productive and enjoyable. This video is an overview of the skills you should know before you attend a retreat. You can pause it to take notes or practice. Further information on the basic skills can be found in the Craft Room video library in the Fundamentals section.

October 18-20, 2013

We are located in beautiful La Jolla, which sits on the coast of San Diego. Within walking distance you will find the University Towne Center mall with over 160 shopping and dining destinations. We have two restaurants on property as well as a variety within walking distance. La Jolla Shores Beach/Cove is also nearby.

Dates and Times

Check in begins Friday, October 18 at 11 am. Lunch will be served at noon. The first session will be at 1 pm. The retreat ends at 1 pm on Sunday, October 20.

Registration

Craft Room members have priority registration until July 2, 2013. (Free Forums-Only members do not qualify as Craft Room members.) After that date the registration is open to all Pazzles customers. If you are a non-member and try to register before the non-member date your registration will be deleted so please respect the dates.

Course Requirements

The course content will be Intermediate to Advanced in skill level. Beginning skills will not be covered in class. Please Note!! Inspiration Studio Pro 2010 software (or Funtime 2010) is required. Please bring your laptop computer with the software installed and your Inspiration or Pro Creative Cutter.

Registration Fees

If you already own the Inspiration Studio Pro (or Funtime 2010) software:

  • $350.00 if paid in advance.
    • Note: This includes the $100.00 non-refundable deposit

or

  • $ 370.00 in 4 installments:
    • $100 at registration,
    • $100 due August 2, 2013
    • $100 due September 6, 2013
    • $70 due October 4, 2013.
    • Note: This includes the $100.00 non-refundable deposit

Installment option will not be available after August 2, 2013

If you do not own the Inspiration Studio Pro 2010 software:

Your registration will include the Pro 2010 software at a significant discount.

  • $425.00 if paid in advance.
    • Note: This includes the $100.00 non-refundable deposit
    • Cost of software will also be deducted, if purchased.

or

  • $ 445.00 in 4 installments:
    • $115 at registration,
    • $110 due August 2, 2013 your software will be sent after this payment
    • $110 due September 6, 2013
    • $110 due October 4, 2013.
    • Note: This includes the $100.00 non-refundable deposit
    • Cost of software will also be deducted, if purchased.

Installment option will not be available after August 2, 2013.

Refund Policy:

  • • 22+ days prior to retreat: Full refund minus $100.00 registration deposit and cost of software if purchased.
  • • 21 days or less prior to retreat: no refund.
  • • If you have a medical reason past the 21 day limit, we will offer you a credit towards another retreat.

Pazzles Store

For your convenience there will be a small Pazzles store on site. Shop while at the retreat and save on shipping!

Supplies

Project materials, instructions and cutting files will be provided as part of the retreat fee. However you should bring the following basic supplies:

  • • Required: A laptop computer is required and we strongly recommend you bring your Creative Cutter.
  • • Your favorite adhesive
  • • Scissors and a trimmer
  • • Cardstock in neutral colors for card and page bases.
  • • If you are bringing your Inspiration, be sure to have a good blade and mat.

There will be opportunity to work on your class projects in the afternoon and evenings. You are encouraged to bring your favorite embellishing supplies and pens to make the projects uniquely your own.

  • San Diego International is 13 miles or 20 minutes south down Interstate 5. Shuttle transportation is provided by Cloud 9 Shuttle Service at $14.00 per guest, one way.
  • Parking is $10.00 per night (This is a special rate arranged for our group. It is normally $20.00 per night)

Meals

For those of you staying at our host hotel, Breakfast is provided. Lunch for Friday and Saturday is included as part of your registration fee. If you have dietary needs please be aware that you will be able to choose from a varied menu each day. You are on your own for dinner, however, the hotel provides a Managers Reception with snacks and drinks.

    That all sounds absolutely fantastic but too far away to afford. Any plans for Seattle or Portland?

    Kelly, the projects will be all new. You may see some of the same skills taught but there will probably be some new ones you did not see in Las Vegas. This retreat will be geared above the beginner level so look for some exciting new tricks! n:)
