Please join us for a day of fun next Saturday October 5th, 2013 2-7pm Mountain Daylight Time (MDT)to celebrate World Card Making Day 2013. The party will get under way at 2pm Mountain Daylight Time (MDT) and run until 7pm (MDT). We have free cutting files every hour, a live class, challenges, prizes and store specials. Don’t miss the fun!
Free Cutting Files
- Free cutting files will be available every hour on the hour between 2-7pm Mountain Daylight Time (MDT). Files will be offered in WPC, AI and SVG format so anyone with a digital cutter can play along. Free files will be available for 24 hours only and will be removed from the site at 7pm on Sunday October 7, 2013.
Challenges
- Each free file will have a coordinating challenge. The Challenges will ask you to use the given sketch, or image file plus additional techniques. For example, it could be a card sketch file, and the Challenge would be to use red and yellow as your colors. You will have two weeks to create your project and then enter it using the Albums. Anyone can enter—it’s not limited to Craft Room Members! Each Challenge you enter counts toward the Prize Drawings. We will post instructions for each challenge in the hourly blog. You will have until Midnight October 20, 2013 to submit your completed project to the appropriate Challenge Album.
How to Enter the Challenges:
- To submit your photo to the Challenge Albums, you must have either a Free Forums Account or a paid Craft Room Membership. [The Free account allows you access to the Forums and the World Card Making Day Albums. As part of signup, it asks you to choose a payment method, but it will not ask you for payment information.]
- Log in to the Craft Room site.
- Head over to the Challenge Albums, and locate the Challenge you are hoping to enter.
- Submit your project before Midnight MDT Sunday October 20th. Here are instructions for submitting to the Albums if you need assistance.
Live Class
- At 4pm (MDT) founder Christine Vander Woude will be teaching a live class on a fun card making technique. Click here to go to the Classroom page with instructions on how to enter the live classroom.
Games and Open Chat
- Craft Room Members can join us in the Member Chat area for extra fun and games. Chat with Michelle and Christine and play games for extra prize entries.
Prizes

Do I have to be a Craft Room Member to participate?
No. But you might have more fun if you are, so consider joining! The challenges, prize drawing, and cutting files are free for everyone. All you need is a Free Forums Account so you can submit your completed projects to the challenge galleries for the event. Full Craft Room Members will have access to Member Chat where Pazzles designers Michelle and Christine will be playing games and have extra entries to the prize drawings for the winners!

This is confusing, Every time mentioned indicates Mountain Standard time except for Christine’s live video which says 4 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time.

I am in the UK at it looks like this starts at 9pm tonight, and goes onto the early hours of the morning, unfortunately I will not be able to stay up that late, will I still be able to get the files etc.
I am in the UK too. The last time there was a party I totally missed out due to time zones. And I couldn’t get the files after even though I am a member. So in reply to your question june 27.. yup we will not get the files unless we stay up till late… unfair!
