I’ve mentioned before that I host a Halloween party for all of my extended family every year and costumes are requested but not required. I love to see what people come up with when choosing their attire for the night, and there have been many clever ideas over the years. At the end of the night I select a few people for the costume awards and I like to have a big ribbon to pin on their chest.
This year I made my awards bigger and better with layers and layers of Doodlebug Designs papers and the Patriotic Ribbon file. In the middle of each ribbon is a rosette to add dimension to the project. The rosette is included in the Patriotic Ribbon cutting file. If you need instructions on assembling the rosette take a look at Christine’s Rosette Tutorial. I stuck a safety pin to the back of each award so they can go right on the winning costume. Of course the award also comes with a giant chocolate bar in case the big glittery ribbon is not reward enough.
Would you like to win some Doodlebug Design products of your own? We have some pieces from the new Doodlebug Happy Harvest line to give away to one lucky Craft Room Member. This time around all you have to do is leave a comment on this blog post by midnight MDT, Sunday October 20th and we will randomly select a winner to receive this prize pack.
