Today I have made a quick 15 minute project, a Butterfly Lollipop Holder using my Pazzles Inspiration. I love butterflies and when I saw this 3-D Butterfly in the Craft Room Library, I just knew I would be using it for one of my projects.
I imported the file into my Pazzles software and deselected some of the layers, as I wanted to use a combination of different patterned papers. I duplicated the butterfly and set it to one side. Taking the first imported butterfly I deleted all the layers except the largest base layer. I used the floral paper to cut out the largest butterfly shape. I then worked on my duplicated 3-D Butterfly (No 2) and deleted the 2 smallest butterflies so that I could cut the inner pieces using the peach paper. I resized these to make the inner butterfly pieces smaller. I then created 2 slits to thread through the lollipop stick. (See screen shot below). It sounds confusing but I am sure you will get the hang of it once you start to play with it.
I cut out the layers with my coordinated papers, inserted my lollipop and cut out a Twirled Flower (found in the Projects section) for the centre. I added some self-adhesive pearls for extra dimension.
This is a quick project and could easily be made in bulk for kids clubs or classroom treats.

Should that be “floral” paper? Just noticed the spelling. What a wonderful idea. Looks great.
