Key To My Heart Wall Hanging

key-to-my-heart-sml

I found a 5 ½” x 9” piece of scrap wood in my wood scrap box and thought I’d put it to good use by making this wall hanging.

I painted the wood with a couple coats of white acrylic paint. I let the paint dry for about an hour before I placed the red cardstock heart. I then stuck in some clear thumb tacks around the heart so that I could wrap the red burlap threads around them. I didn’t have a specific wrapping pattern so I just randomly wrapped it around the thumb tacks.

I used the key stamp to stamp on the vintage key, added some clear embossing powder, and heated it up to get a slightly glossy look.

I cut out the text and hearts onto black, red, and gold vinyl.
