Basketball Snack Pack Bag

march-madness-snack-pack-fixed-sml

This would be a good party gift for your fellow basketball fans when they come to watch the basketball playoffs with you.  I have someone I’m going to give this too, but I’ll be adding their name to the front body of the bag using heat transfer vinyl.

The printable design is approximately 5.833” x 6.296”.  The bag body template is 7.625” x 9.875” (7 5/8” x 9 7/8”) (Cut 3 pieces of fabric same size).  This is the template you use for the 2 pieces of fabric that you’ll tape onto a sheet of 8 ½” x 11” sheet of cardstock to run through your printer. I used painters tape to tape the fabric down.  Print onto 2 pieces.  One piece is for the straps. The back piece on mine is plain white.  Tip:  Use the highest quality print your printer can handle.  On my printer I chose BEST for print quality.

The straps measure approximately 28 ½” x 2”. I cut mine in 3 pieces and then sewed the edges together.

Iron down the top of the front and back of the bag.  Turn down and iron about a ¼” once, then fold again and iron down.  Sew down the edges and iron again.

Fold the straps in half on the longer side.  Fold over each side about a ¼”, fold together, and sew down.  After they are sewn down, attach each end to the side seam of the bag on the inside and sew down.

Add snacks or any other items you want to give your guests for the game.
