Beauty and the Beast is my favorite movie and I have been thinking for a long time for a project that really embodied the movie but was also something everyone can use. One of the reasons I loved Belle so much is because not only was she strong and beautiful but she was smart, and loved to read just like me. That’s how I got the idea for the bookmarks.
These are so easy to make and would be a great project to do with your kids. I made all eight in about an hour and that was mostly because I was having so much fun trying different color combinations.
I think these would also be such wonderful gifts for the bookworm in your family, for teachers at school, or for your kid’s classmates. They are very affordable too, it’s just wax paper and old crayons, you probably already have everything you need at home.
As much thought as I put in to this project, I could never have expected how beautifully these would turn out. I am having difficulty choosing a favorite to keep! I am so happy to share these with you and I hope you love them as much as I do!

1 sheet 12×12 black cardstock
Wax paper
Old crayons
Old Newspaper
