Stained Glass Hangers

I have lots of stained glass hangings and kept seeing all the stained glass files in the Pazzles Craft Room library, so I wanted to try a couple.

I removed the square on the outside of the stained glass hot air balloon file and added ovals to the top and bottom to hold the jewels and to hang. I also wanted to try the blossom flowers file.

I made front and back pieces to look the same on both sides. I then cut the pieces out of cardstock and the outlined piece in vellum. I made the vellum pieces slightly smaller than the cardstock pieces so it will fit sandwiched between them without showing. I glued the vellum to one of the cardstock pieces. I then colored in the areas between the lines on the vellum side with Sharpie color markers and after it dries, glue the other cardstock piece to the vellum side. I finished it off by threading thin wire through the beads and then the small holes on the hanging. I really think that you should give this a try because it’s a really simple project and it dresses up your empty windows.
