This Easter, I wanted a more rustic theme with a touch of Steampunk. The 5” x 7” frame used to have a mirror inside, but I re-purposed it to place my Easter theme inside. I placed a taupe color piece of Affinity textured cardstock over the chipboard piece that came with the frame.I went through my large stash of buttons and found 6 to hot glue onto the back surface. I hot glued 2 Steampunk gears on as well.
The eggs are Pazzles’ Easter Bunny from the Craft Room Library. It’s a 2-part design, but I separated it so I could have a solid piece to make the eggs 3D. I used the original bunny and widened the edges so I could place it on top of the 3D eggs.
Each egg is cut from 2 different pieces of cardstock from the Die Cuts With a View pack. The side pieces are cut from the Paper Studio Affinity pack to match the back cover. I embossed the side pieces and the top bunny pieces using the Tiny Bubbles embossing folder. The side gold strip is cut from Tim Holtz’s Metallic cardstock collection and glued onto the side of the eggs. Both eggs were placed onto the back surface using hot glue.
The Happy Easter words are two parts. The green words are cut from Cricut’s Candy Shop cardstock and the taupe color words are cut from the Paper Studio’s Affinity pack. I glued one on top of the other and placed onto the surface using foam pop dots. The words and the eggs are edged with Charcoal Color Box Liquid Chalk.
