Fall Shaker Card

I wanted to make a shaker card with an Autumn shape and I thought this would make a nice birthday or thinking of you card. This is fairly simple to make and can be made using different shapes for all types of occasions.

I embossed and cut out the card base. I took the print and cut layer and copied it to a 8 ½” x 11” InVue new document. I cut an 8 ½” x 11” piece from a 12” x 12” piece of cardstock and printed the leaves and I’m falling for you on my printer. Next I lined it up on the cutting mat inside the 11” x 8 ½” area. I embossed and cut out the leaf shape. I took white tulle and cut two pieces slightly larger than the cutout. I used Yes paste and glued the tulle to the back of the top layer cutout and to the front of the card base cutout. Make sure to cover the entire cutout edge with the tulle and get the glue as close to the cutout without covering any of the embossing lines on the card base. You can glue right up to the cutout edge on the top layer. I then placed double-sided adhesive around all the outside edges on the back of the top layer piece.

Then take glitter shapes and leaf shaped nail glitter art and put it in the center of the tulle on the front of the card base. Make sure it doesn’t go outside of the cutout edge. I used Yes glue and glued around the leaf shape on the top layer of the tulle and tried to get as close to the cutout edge as possible. Then place on the front of the card matching up the shape and all the corners. I then printed out the inside piece on an 8 ½” x 11” piece of cardstock and then cut out the leaf shape and the rectangle, lining it up on the mat the same way I did the top layer piece. I used the Yes paste and glued it to the inside of the card. I am also including the matching envelope. Just print it out and cut it on your Pazzles. Hope you enjoy making this card and Happy Fall!
