Pilgrim Pillow Box

As you know I love making gift boxes and being a busy mum I like to make user friendly projects that can be quickly made up in quantities.  This Pilgrim Pillow Box is super easy and can be filled with non-expensive candy to give to your family and friends. Obviously, you can switch the image for whatever occasion.

I imported the 3.5” x 4.5 “ Pillow Box from the Pazzles Library and amended it slightly.  I deleted the finger notch opening at one end of the Pillow Box and closed the path to create a curve.  I punched a hole at the top to enable me to thread my  ribbon and assemble the box.

I then cut some patterned paper to make a wrapper around the pillow box using my paper trimmer.  I made my topper using the base shape of the Round Doilie cutting file having resized my file to fit to the front of my wrapper.  I then created a 2” circle using my Pazzles software and imported the Thanksgiving Owls cutting files.  On this occasion I used the Pilgrim image and arranged it inside my 2” circle.  I then Print and Cut the topper or you could use a circle punch depending how many you wanted to make.

I inked up the edges of the topper and threaded some wired ribbon at the top of my pillow box and attached a paper black flower.  I like to pretty things up!
