Spring Rolled Flowers

When I made my original set of twirled flowers years ago, I had no idea how popular it would become! Of course they ARE easy to love with their simple assembly and gorgeous results. At the time I called them twirled flowers because they didn’t really HAVE a name at the time but we now know them better as rolled flowers (fine, I concede it is a slightly better description!)

At the time I felt like I had exhausted my ideas for flower shapes but WHAT was I thinking?? The possibilities are endless and little changes in petal shapes make for a completely different flower. So I decide to revisit this all-time favorite project.

These flowers are so easy to put together – each flower is just one cut piece that you then roll/twirl/spin up and bend out the petals. You can also ink or chalk the edges for more dimension and add a little crystal lacquer to create dew.

Just watch this short video below to see how they are assembled. There are ten flowers total and of course you can resize each of them which not only changes the size but also changes the look of each flower – so many options!!
