DIY Media Shelf

You may have been in the Virtual Crop and Craft day when I created a shelf similar to this. That one was horizontal, but I needed a vertical one for holding VHS tapes and DVD’s at our vacation home.  So I looked around my ‘projects to do someday’ area and saw that I still had 2 of those dresser drawers.  I realized if just turned it sideways that it would be perfect.

Instead of going and finding new paper, I ended up using Pazzles Vintage Paper Digital Paper Pack.  Be sure and watch the video to see how I chose the paper pack to fit my project.

After I put the digital paper on my project, I knew it needed more, so I created words that I could stencil on the back to add some fun to it.  I went through and thought of as many words as I could of things that related to the television and movies.  Yes, you see LaserDisc, UHF and Antennae there, things you don’t really see anymore, but that just added to the fun of the piece.

I am so pleased with how it turned out and my brother in law even liked it, so I know it was a home run.
