Simple Thank You Note

For this very simple card I used some very small scraps of iron on or HTV.  I have always loved the ‘foiled’ look on cards, but didn’t want to go out and purchase a machine just to foil on a few cards.  After having done a project for a granddaughter with this really shiny HTV, I decided it was time to experiment and see if there were ways to use up the very small pieces of scraps.

To create this card, first you will want to use your pen tool to add the dash lines to the main body of the card and then cut the card out.  Then you will want to cut out the overlay piece.  Wait to attach that until after you get your HTV attached to your paper.  Cut out the HTV. Now lay it carefully on the paper, carefully put on a teflon sheet and use a heat press to attach it to the card. You could probably also use an iron for this.  I didn’t let my press get too hot and found I had to press it two times to get it to attach.  I was so excited to have it look just like I had foiled the card.

So go look your you scraps of vinyl, iron on and HTV and see what treasures you may have to create this fun and simple card.
