Family Celebrations Board

I visited a friend a number of years ago who had a special board with all of her family birthdays and anniversaries on it, and I thought it was a great way to organize and keep track of those important family celebration dates. Ever since then I have wanted to make one that would accommodate our 67 (and growing) family member celebrations.

I searched high and low to find a suitable frame for it, and found one at our local craft store. Then I created some cutting files for the board decorations.

Hopefully these will help you to create a family celebrations board of your own!

The yellow tags in the shape of bells are for family anniversaries, and the blue and pink tags in the shape of a cake are for birthdays, male and female. Notated on the tags are the names and dates for the celebrations.  The tags are organized first by month, and then hung on ribbon in order of dates. This allows us to see at a glance who in the family are having celebrations this month.

Since we don’t have family living close to us, we need to send our greetings.  If I need to make cards or gifts, I can readily identify which projects I need to work on next so that I can get them sent on time.

Supplies:
Frame, board, or chipboard, at least 18” wide x 3.5” high.
Metallic Ribbon ¼” wide
Recollections 110# Cardstock in Yellow, Pink and Blue
Arteza Vinyl in Green, Brown, Yellow, Red, and Blue
Transfer tape that works with your vinyl.
2” wide Painter’s tape
3D glue or Glue Dots
