DIY Gather Decorative Block
Make this cute decor sign for your home or as a gift with little cost and lots of zip. Cover the wood block base with burlap or fabric, cut the design from fun papers, and add a bow on top for a mixed media piece that’s customizable to fit the recipient’s fave colors or the established decor color theme.
Makes a Great Photo Holder or Gift!
Add a wood clothespin to the back and it becomes a favorite photo holder. This is great as a spot of color in a family room or kitchen; pair with a plate of cookies as a thoughtful housewarming gift.
Supplies:
Low heat glue sticks
Paper burlap or burlap, or fabric, approximately 18 inches x 18 inches
Wood block about 5.5 inches by 6 inches
Tan / brown cardstock the size of the face of the block and the top of the block
2 ½ inch ribbon with wire
Glue pen
Roll of crafters tape (roll-on strip glue)
Dimensional foam stickers
Sharpie or chalk to coordinate with the color of “gather” sentiment
