Functional DIY Hot Glue Station
We are living in trying times and some of the best parts of human beings are their creative ideas that help us solve problems or be happy while we endure hardships. I was inspired by all the creative ideas for navigating the stay at home mandates during the pandemic as well as my general penchant for making old things new, so I repurposed an old frame into a functional and safe place to have glue guns and sticks hang out while crafting.
Create A Functional and Inspiring Work Space
The frame glass can handle the heat and occasional glue drips, which easily peel off when cooled. For encouragement and levity I decided to say “glue got this” as a play on words, combining adhesives with the affirmation “you got this”, because we can get through this, especially when we let our creativity lead the way.
Easy Supplies Come Together In 30 Minutes!
This project is designed to be used with a 1 foot square (or smaller in one direction) frame and can be resized to fit whatever frame or papers you may wish to use. Choose whatever drawer pulls you have in your junk drawer or purchase new in whatever style or finish you like best. Make this in colors that coordinate with your craft room or make a collage of random scraps as your background and make a black or white outline of the words to give them separation from the multicolored background. In less than half an hour you can fire up your glue guns on your new tray and get crafting.

12” x 12” Patterned paper (Die Cuts With A View Stack 10 Single Sided Papers)
2 metal drawer pulls
Small glass jar (Oui Yogurt, cleaned and dried)
Glue dots or E6000
