DIY Laundry Dry Erase Label
Most people don’t like to deal with laundry. The sorting, the pre-washing, the washing, the drying (and sometimes hanging), the folding, and (heaven forbid) the ironing (which we strive to avoid around our house!) are time consuming, and most of us can think of at least a million things we’d rather be doing than dealing with it all.
Help Your Busy Family Keep the Laundry Moving!
With crazy schedules and many people creating loads, the general importance of moving loads along so they don’t sit (especially wet) too long, and in order to complete loads in time for when the laundry needs to be put into use, I needed to come up with a way to let other clothes washers know what to do with loads that may get left when the owner is away at work or school or events. We try our best to stay nearby when we’re sending items through the process but sometimes other things take precedence so I came up with a way to let others know what to do in the event of our absence.
Reusable and Removable
I used the Craft Party Nametags from the Pazzles Craft Room and some regular vinyl and dry erase vinyl to create a place on the doors of our washer and dryer so we will know whose load is in and what to do with it in case someone needs to use the same machine. These will peel off later if you move and the machines stay with the home, and they can be sized to fit up to 12 inches by 24 inches if you have the 12” x 24” Pazzles Mat.
Take some of the drudgery and frustration out of doing laundry with this super quick way to put the fun in functionality for your laundry room to help make it an organized place of calm and industry.
Use Anywhere You Need Labels or Reminders!
These would also be a cute way to label above each child’s coat and backpack hook to write reminders about activities or library books due dates, or to stick on the back of the mud-room wall for similar notes as people exit.
