DIY Witch Cupcakes
For years we have enjoyed some neighbor’s Halloween decorations, one with a witch splatted into a tree trunk and another with witch legs sticking up from the ground, and they inspired the idea of decorating cupcakes in a similar manner.
Paper Piece or Print and Cut
I searched in the Pazzles Craft Room Library and found some witch legs for this project. I separated out the layers and adapted them for the purposes of them becoming cupcake toppers. You can either paper piece these together or Print and Cut (or even both to add some variety to your party treats.)
Assemble in 6 Minutes or Less and Insert with Toothpicks
These cupcake toppers were made about 3.5 inches tall but you could adjust them slightly as you see fit. If you don’t have toothpicks, you could make another layer just like the solid black layer with a long, thin triangle fused to the bottom (top of the stocking) that could act as a pick to hold it into the cupcake (don’t glue this protruding pick part to avoid any glue getting into the food). The layered legs take a while to assemble but the Print and Cut legs assemble much more quickly. Each pair of layered legs takes about 6 minutes to assemble, less time for the Print and Cut version.
Enjoy!
