DIY On-the-Go Tic Tac Toe
For some portable fun, I created this on-the-go tic-tac-toe set. This is an inexpensive and quick project (one set cuts out in just minutes) to produce in multiples for party favors, a quick last-minute road-trip game, or classroom valentines.
Makes A Great Teacher Gift
You could give a set to a favorite elementary school teacher for their classroom – even make a large set utilizing the full sheet of material and hung on a larger ring or loop of sturdy string for kids to play on the floor or even outside during recess. You could even make an additional letter for the recipient’s name and add that to the ring.
Durable and Easily Portable
These approximately 2 by 2.25-inch plastic Xs and Os are on an approximately 1.25-inch book ring that can be attached to a backpack, keyring, or purse for travel fun.
Cut from Notebook Dividers
These are easily washable and made from stencil-like notebook dividers but could also be made from thick cardstock, tagboard, or even cereal box cardboard. Kids can play against each other using the ring as the center “square”, playing pieces in turn around it, or draw the hashtag on paper to play. Make more than five of each game letter to play the more complicated versions of tic-tac-toe to up the difficulty to challenge yourselves.
Supplies:
Plastic notebook dividers
1.25 inch opening book rings – one per set made
