DIY Paper Heart Strings Card or Decor
One of my favorite childhood memories is creating art with my mother at our kitchen table. Items such as craft sticks, glue, markers, construction paper, and jars were all we needed back then to make paper-mâché and similar works of art. For this project, bringing together old traditions and new methods came naturally with my Pazzles Vue Machine and Pazzles InVue Software.
Create with Coordinating Paper Scraps and Twine
These paper patterns came together with the twine for a shabby feel that is very soft and feminine. I used four pieces of paper scraps in soft pastel colors. It’s super easy to cut two or more sets at once, which is always a plus! I added numeric outlines to each piece to speed things along when piecing. An easy way to push those threads through is by using a tiny paintbrush.
Use Different Colors for Different Looks!
For a completely different look, I used a black and antique white color grouping and popped the piece into a frame. It has a very “Letters to Juliet” feel, don’t you agree?
Add Your Own Embellishments to Complete the Look!
Grouping your steps will speed things up tremendously. For instance, curl all the strips, roll and tape all of them, set them aside, then glue them down at once. It’s quite addictive!

5×7 size frame or card base
Clear tape
Mini hot glue gun
