DIY Lucky Shamrock Card
I decided to revamp one of the awesome cards from the Simply Heart Cards Collection in the Pazzles Craft Room to make this quick and easy St. Patrick’s Day Shamrock Card.
Make in 15 Minutes
It takes less than 15 minutes to create this cute quick card that can be whipped up for St. Patrick’s Day or for any time you’d like to express that you feel lucky to have a special someone in your life.
This card is approximately 4 by 6 inches but it could be resized to fit a larger envelope (do try some envelopes from the Cards Envelopes & Tags section of the Pazzles Craft Room).
Perfect for Coworkers, Friends, and Classmates
This card could be used with just the front as a tag for a big St. Patrick’s Day bouquet or gift basket. Scrapbook enthusiasts could even incorporate this into a scrapbook page layout or placed on the side of a pencils and pens box for someone’s desk.
Add Dimension
If you don’t have access to the dimensional stickers you could create mini accordion strips to place behind the panels or layer some circles cut from tagboard or a cereal box and glued together, or just cut multiples of the shamrock layers to create depth. You could also just adhere the panels directly to the card base and obtain great results. Add some sparkle by using some green glitter paper for the four leaf clover backing.
Supplies:
White cardstock 12 by 12 inches
Light green and green cardstock 8.5 by 11 inches
Dark green cardstock scrap about 2 by 2 inches
dimensional foam stickers (about 9 stickers from a 3 mm to 1 cm variety pack)
Green ultra fine gelly pen or ultra fine permanent marker
Glue pen
Crafter’s tape
