DIY Happy Mother’s Day Card
Mother’s Day will be here before you know it and I wanted to make something special for the mom’s in my life.
I don’t remember what I was like as a toddler, but I would image I was rather needy. I am sure I loved to say “MOM help with this!” and “Mom I need that.” I am sure I never got on her nerves. And after recently getting the chance to hang out with my nephew, who I swear is way more talkative than any other kids I have met. I know how the sound of Mom, Mom, mommy, momma, MOM is a joy to hear. So, I made a cute little bird card with the babies all chirping Mom, MOM, Mom at once. I know that this will bring a smile to their face. I hope they have a memory flash in their minds and be thankful that we have grown up and not be annoyed about how we acted as toddlers.
Two Assembly Options
I made this card a couple of different ways. Oh, let’s gets real I messed up a lot and had extra pieces to make more than 1 card. My mom loves a card with a lot of detail so the one that I cut out and hand glued all the pieces to I gave to her. But the card that was just printed and I knew my sister would throw away I gave to her.
Print and Cut
This card uses print and cut features so that you can get all the beautiful, coordinating shades. If you have never print and cut before here are some videos to show you how!
How to Print and Cut or Cut and Print
If you have an any computer based electronic cutter, you can print and cut -or- cut and print. What’s the difference you might ask? Print and cut requires your electronic cutter to have an “optical eye” which can see where the image is printed on your paper (because every printer prints just a little differently). If your electronic cutter has an optical eye, Print and Cut is the method for you! Here is a video tutorial showing you how to print and cut using the Pazzles InVue software with the Pazzles Inspiration Vue.
Print and Cut: Basics
This video will take you through the basics of a basic Print and Cut. We have included the image that we used in the video.
If on the other hand your electronic cutter does not have an optical eye, fret not! There is an easy and fail-proof method to we call “Cut and Print” that works great! Here is a video tutorial showing you how to do Cut and Print using the Pazzles InVue software and Pazzles Inspiration machine. You will need a Craft Room membership in order to watch this video.
Cut and Print
This video will teach you how to use the Cut and Print method. This is a wonderful option to use if the Print and Cut method is not available to you.
