On the Go software

The feedback from everyone last week was great! I’m glad that you are all excited about the updates and the enhancements that they give to the software. Isn’t it amazing how the smallest changes can make the biggest difference?

One of the features I mentioned is that after walking through the updates you are able to save five images before being prompted to plug your Inspiration into your computer. That’s awesome, but if you are constantly on the go with your computer wouldn’t it be great if you could save without limits? I often have people tell me how busy they are between work, shuffling kids, laundry and dinner and they want to know if there is a way they can kick back in their favorite crafting spot and enjoy the ease and flexibility of crafting while not being connected to their Inspiration.

So I thought that I would mention our Inspiration On the Go software package. This package is exactly the same as the original software you would have received with your Inspiration, but offers the freedom and flexibility to save images while you’re away from your cutter. How awesome that you can create while riding in the car, plane or bus just by having the dongle (security key) plugged into a USB port on your computer. Oh, and did I mention convenient?! Inspiration can come from anywhere at anytime. How exciting to know that when you’re ready, the software will be too–regardless of where you are!

Thanks for reminding me about this. There have been times that I could kick myself for not having one yet! I guess it’s just going to be the next thing I get!

Will this be updated when the Inspiration software is? I understand the full version of the Funtime software requires neither a dongle, nor being hooked up to the computer. What makes this “On the Go Software” a better deal….other than of course the price?

I also would like to know if I will have to pay for an upgrade to the software, especially since I’ve owned my PI only a few weeks. I heard the update was coming out this month and would be $69 (I think that’s the price I remember)?
