Boys

In our society it seems to be a girls world.  Girls have tons of things to choose from whereas boys are left with far less options. You can find 10 different cute outfits for girls while only 2 for boys. It is no different in the scrapbook industry. There are tons of girl geared papers and embellishments and only a few for boys. Since I have boys myself it is very frustrating. Our cutters have put an end to that because now we can create our own boy oriented projects. No more frustrations, as you can see by this week’s Fabulous find  titled “Boys” by Melena Christopherson  In this project Melena used the Pazzles Paper Lace CD to create the background for this stunning wall hanging all about boys. By using different papers she gave it that all boy feeling. (My Mind’s Eye™ has some great paper colors and a not-so-loud color scheme.) I love the use of a Title as the hanging portion of this piece.  So often we think pages or projects need to be contained within a square or rectangle. Also, Melena has shown us how she uses everyday items like office supply clips. Hardware stores or office supply stores can be a scrappers best friend.  I believe I am going to scrap-lift this piece for sure because it is too cute for words!

Congratulations  Melena  Christopherson  for a fabulous project.

I like the way that the word “boys” is upside down…like a boy on the monkey bars! I also like the colors. Oh yeah…the boys are pretty darn cute too! 🙂

I love how this project just exudes energy–much like the subject matter probably does! It’s really fun.
