12 Tags of Christmas

For Christmas 2009, we here at Pazzles shared 12 tags for Christmas, one each day leading up to Christmas. Since then we’ve consolidated those 12 posts in to one big post so that you can easily access all of the tags. We hope you enjoy this gift!

Rose_of_Sharon

Those of us here at Pazzles often wish we could let each of you know just how much we appreciate you! Through the years we have made so many wonderful friends. Some we have only spoken to on the phone, others are email or forum friends and many of you we have met at shows. We certainly are convinced that you are a very talented and lovely group of ladies. The 12 tags of Christmas is a gift from Pazzles to you, our very special customers.
Once again, a big thank you goes to our talented Lisa for coming up with this idea. Each day from now until Christmas we will be giving you a different gift tag cutting file. I am sure that once you see these projects, you will agree that it would be difficult to say which one is

Santa_Stuck_in_Chimney

the best. There is a wonderful variety of designs from elegant to fanciful. The images were created for the tags but don’t forget that they can be used for anything from cards, to scrapbook pages, to craft projects.  On Christmas day we will show you how to turn these tags into a fun Christmas mini album.

To kick things off we are posting two tags today. The first tag will be the front of the mini album. This beautiful, dimensional Rose of Sharon tag was created by Amanda. She used the pen tool to write the text and inked the edges to add depth to the design. The directions for making the dimensional rose are included with the cutting file. The second tag is full of holiday fun and laughter. Santa Got Stuck Down the Chimney was created by Tatum. She used chalk, Stickles and Crystal Lacquer to make the design really pop.

Once again, A Very Merry Christmas to all of you from all of us here at Pazzles!

Here are the cutting files and instructions. They are in a zipped file so once you have downloaded them you will need to right click the zipped folder and select “Extract All”

Santa

This adorable Santa tag was created by Lisa. I can just imagine that this is how Santa must look from a child’s perspective looking up at Santa and not being able to see past his round tummy! This card is so simple but would be such a a fun addition to a gift or would make a perfect Christmas card because it is so easy to assemble you could make quite a few without a lot of work! Thanks so much to Lisa for sharing her tremendous talent!

Stockings

Cozy up next to the fire and get ready, Christmas is almost here! This lovely tag done by Amanda uses several different materials to create a beautiful fireplace scene. Each stocking was made using fabric paper and the fireplace wood was made using a very thin wood paper. Enjoy this tag and enjoy the fun and anticipation that comes with Christmas being so close!

Thank you, Amanda for the lovely tag! I was just wondering this week how to use my cutter to make a layered rose, and here it is! I hope mine turns out half as pretty as yours.

Tatum, thanks for the Santa in the Chimney, too.

  • Victoria Kee

I like both of these! The rose is so pretty and the Santa in the chimney goes right along with my quirky sense of humor. Both are cute. 🙂

I’m just laughing so hard at the Santa in the chimney…I JUST did a page similar to this for my new CD…
These are both WONDERFUL…thank you so much

Thank you so much. I love the prettiness of the rose and the humour of the santa. A style for everyone 🙂

Tim Holtz just showed how to make a similar flower on his blog for this year’s 12 Tags of Christmas–how cool to have a flower cutting file already done that works for this! Has anyone cut the Grunge Paper on the cutter and know the settings? (Not Grunge Board, it’s different.) That’s what he used for his flowers and they look great.

Tatum’s Santa tag, of course, is perfect for my sense of humor. Love them both!

Awesome!!!!!!!!! Nice job……and as everyone says, a style for everyone. With some minor changes, the Chimney Santa could even go on a photo frame! Thanks for the files…..I’ll use them a great deal.

These are fantastic. I have always wanted to make my own tags and this has given me the inspiration to do so. lol just realized the pun, but its true. Maybe I can have a tag exchange party. Thank you so much for these freebies.

Hi Mary – Oh Grunge paper is my absolute favourite to cut. It cuts beautifully. My settings were B/length 3.5 and pressure 23
I live in South Africa so don’t know how this compares to your climate, which apperently can also make a difference to your settings.
