Vinyl Makes It Special!

CoffeeMaker copyI have had a secret for the past week. By the time this blog appears in the Pazzles Craft Room I hope everyone here at the office is enjoying my gift. I am giving one of those coffee makers that use individual pods to make one cup of coffee at a time. Now the tea drinkers, the hot cocoa lovers and the flavored coffee aficionados can all choose what they want. No more expensive trips to Moxie Java for Jeremy and Pete!

But, hey, what is an office without the required coffee mugs with your name on them? So I also bought some stacking coffee mugs to go with it and I added everyone’s name in vinyl. It was so fast and easy to do but makes the gift a lot more fun. (I forgot one for myself, though!) I have been finding lots of ways to use vinyl in my gift giving and even in my own home. Totes and sorters can be labeled, lampshades and décor items can be personalized. Mirrors can be made one-of-a-kind with a simple addition of swirls or flowers. Kid’s room walls can be decorated with wall art. (My grandkids want John Deere tractors and Princess designs!) Honestly, why bother buying a label maker when you can use your cutter? The ideas are endless!

This week’s video tutorial will show you the basic techniques for applying vinyl to small projects. (Large projects be will featured soon.) Learn how to set your project up for cutting the vinyl, how to adhere smaller scrap pieces of vinyl to your mat and how to apply the vinyl to your project using the transfer tape.

The link to the video library is below. I encourage you to go forth, learn, practice, create and come back and share with us all what your have made! Happy Creating!

for the coffee mugs are you using the standard pazzle vinyl or is there special vinyl that works better on things like coffee mugs that is more durable even if you’re only hand washing them.

Chris is out for the week, so I’ll answer that for her. It’s just the standard Pazzles vinyl. While there isn’t a dishwasher here at the office (aside from the manual sort of course 🙂 ) dishes that have had vinyl applied can be put in the dishwasher.
