Feathered Paper

I was using my Inspiration today and noticed that the edges of my cuts aren’t as clean as they used to be. Do I need to replace my blade?

Have you started cutting your most recent project and found that your cuts aren’t as clean as you remember them being in the past? It’s certainly easy to forget how long you’ve been using the same blade. I always recommend having extra blades on hand so you don’t get caught without a replacement. When the blade starts to go bad there isn’t a lot of warning. Your cuts can be great one minute and then suddenly you will experience that the edges are feathered, or that your images don’t cut completely through the paper. This is a great time to switch out the blade. Blades can go dull for a number of reasons, but primarily it’s due to the amount of time you’ve been using the blade. I had a great recommendation from Savannah when she told me that she labels the packaging her blades came in with the date. That way she knows how long she has been using that particular blade. Thanks for the tip Savannah!
