Maintenance on Your Inspiration

Wouldn’t it be nice if everything that we ever purchased worked perfectly and there was never any need for maintenance or repair? It would be like purchasing a new car that never needed oil changes or new tires! Well unfortunately it’s not always like that, which means that everything from time to time will need a little maintenance.

“I’ve had my machine for two years and absolutely love it. I was wondering if you offer any deals where I could send it in to be cleaned up.”

Nanci K. St. George, UT

A little maintenance can go a long way to increasing the performance and life of your Inspiration. Here at Pazzles we have put together a maintenance program that allows you to send your cutter in for a little love and care. When you send your Inspiration in to be serviced we will completely remove any adhesive build up on your rollers and clean the outside of your cutter. More importantly we will also clean the inside of your cutter where you can’t see and lubricate all the inner moving parts. We’ll tighten up everything on your Inspiration to make sure it is running and cutting at its best and, if necessary replace the cut strip to ensure that your mat sits in your Inspiration as flat as possible. Lastly we’ll test your Inspiration to ensure it is running and cutting well and there are no imminent problems and then ship your machine back to you. You’ll feel like your Inspiration is brand new again! To learn more about these services please check our Service and Repair page to learn more! https://www.pazzles.net/wordpress/service-repair

How often should we send in our machine to get it “professional” cleaned. I had to repair mine last Christmas (2009) and it was cleaned then. I was just wondering. I know it would depend on how much we use the machine. But just like with a car every 3000 mile or ever 3 months on the oil. Thank You

It’s true that there are a lot of variables that it would depend on. I think for all of us we know when our machine is acting strange, making a funny sound, or just is looking pretty used. That’s about the time I would consider sending it in to be looked at. Other than that just making sure it’s stored in a place that it stays clean, and making sure it gets wiped down once in a while will keep your cutter in good working order.

That seems great…well unless you have bought a pazzles and live in the UK. Considering our post can’t even send an intact piece of mail across london I doubt my machine would even make it back at all.

My husband is very mechanical and maintains lottery machines for a living. What can we use to clean the rollers and what type of oil do you use?

@ Leza: If you live in the UK, Oyster Stamps offers maintenance on the Inspiration as well. You can contact them for pricing information and details if that is something that interests you!
