Alligator Valentine

As a kid my favorite time of year was Valentine’s Day. I loved decorating the empty cereal box mailboxes that we would display at the front of the classroom and fill with candy and cards. I guess I always admired the fact that even the boys in class didn’t seem to mind that everything was decorated in an array of pink, red and white papers with matching hearts too! I’m still a sucker for this color combination which still makes Valentine’s Day a favorite for me. I always try to keep you moms in mind when creating projects. Since I know that a lot of these projects will need to be mass produced to distribute in the classroom. I try to keep the ideas simple, but fun. This alligator was easy to make and his heart scales add just the right amount of detail for this special holiday. I hope you enjoy him as a simple card, or to hang inside a book as a bookmark for kids or teachers.

Very cute alligator! I attempted cutting it and couldn’t though. The blade touches down at the begining, then goes up and won’t come down again. I tried other projects succesfully and came back to the alligator and had the same issues as before. Any adviced? I recently became a very proud owner of my Inspiration machine and I am hahing a blast!!

Cecilia you might try raising your pressure just a little bit (especially if you are using a pressure below 10) and see if that solves it.
