There’s “Sew” Much You Can Create Using Your Inspiration

When I started working at Pazzles six years ago I was intrigued by the market that scrapbookers had created for themselves. Truth be told I hadn’t even heard of scrapbooking before. Not only was I impressed with all these wonderful creations you were all making, I was equally impressed by the drive to launch new products geared specifically for you and your scrapbooking needs. I love seeing new products hit the shelves that make crafting easier and more enjoyable from the latest craze in self adhesive papers and the latest kind of glue to different paper textures and brands. The crafting world isn’t exclusively paper crafting though and our Inspiration has found a place in the homes of crafters of all kinds. We have a lot of designers, jewelers, and a number of quilters excited using our machine as well. We are making scissors a thing of the past! With that in mind I thought I would address the big fabric question. So many of you often asked this question:

Is Inspiration is capable of cutting fabric?

The answer is yes, yes, yes!

In fact, I’ve made an entire quilt using the Inspiration to cut out my appliqué pieces. The software lends a helping hand to create the layout of your quilt and create new schemes and designs. I’ve even used the Print and Cut feature on fabric and it worked beautifully! We currently offer a fabric mat which works great for pre-stiffened fabrics, but for me personally I just use a regular mat. I keep one mat on hand that is just used for fabric. I use Heat n Bond Lite to adhere to the back of my fabric so that it creates a nice plastic backing to the fabric fibers. It helps create a nice smooth surface for the blade to cut through and leaves the edges of your fabric as smooth as paper. The instructions for working with Heat n Bond Lite are included in the packaging and can be purchased anywhere. Once the Heat n Bond Lite is applied to the back of your fabric you remove the paper backing and adhere to the mat, Heat N Bond Lite side down. If you haven’t already tried working with fabric, don’t be scared! The concept for working with fabric and your Inspiration is the same as working with paper. “Sew” find those fat quarters you’ve been collecting and put them to use in your upcoming projects. I have my eye on a few pieces of fabric I’ve been collecting for years and with summer right around the corner I couldn’t think of a better project to create than a beautiful blanket to enjoy a nice summer picnic with my family.

Also if you are ready to venture in to the realm of fabric make sure you watch the fabulous video that Chris made which will show you how easy it is to cut fabric with your Inspiration!

So anxious to watch the tutorial I use my Pazzle and my sewing machine to create lots of crafts so I am glad you are offering this. Thank you N.

I wish I my Pazzles way back when I was quilting. I could have used the Pazzles to do all the repetitive cuts of the many pieces I needed for my cathedral window quilt.
