I had a question about Klo’s classes. I was wondering if she could give all the information on how to do what the class is teaching in the first 15 minutes of the class without any interruption?
Not answering anyone’s questions just go through the process and then turn it over for questions afterwards. I love watching her classes but they just take way too long. An hour and a half to give 15 minutes of instruction. I think it’s great that she has people from all over the world taking the class but there’s too many stops and starts and repeating of the same info. Minutes used just to get people’s sound right or people saying hello. I’ve gone to keeping a log of the exact time she gives info on how to do what shes teaching so I can go back to that exact time if I forgot something. But I still have to sit through an hour or more to get the exact times. I love the basic video tuturorials that are on the website. They give info without any interruption.I’m not asking her to stop chatting with her class I’m simply asking for the information first then she can chit chat. Then we can choose to sit the extra hour if we want to but we will have the info on how to do it right off the bat.
    Thanks,
    Debbie

    Debbie,
This is a FABULOUS idea….I have been trying to figure out how to do this. I will try it this week…I think showing the how to, then going back a second time to have people work a long is a great idea. Basically, take notes the first pass and work a long with it, the second pass.
I love the chatting aspect as well, but I would love to be able to save that for following the teaching. Thank you so much for the suggestion….we will give it a try and see how it goes.
    Thanks,
    Klo

    Klo,

This would be great. It would also be great if a simple step by step was included, maybe a pdf file?

    you know,

    1. File | New
    2. or when you need to say use a feature maybe like this

    1. Select Text
    2. Menu | Text | Break Text | Break Text by Character.

something like that just KISS *keep it simple sweetie.

This is where it helps to take notes, so that you will understand them later. Take notes the first time through, then add details the second time. I recommend having a notebook just for your notes, that way you can find them easier if you need to refer back to them.

    Klo,
I just watched the class for Aug 12th.That was the best class I’ve ever watched. I wanted to learn how to make the “Love to See You Smile” title and you delivered all the info within the first 20-25 minutes!!! It was awesome and as Jaci said you executed it to perfection!!!! I learned so much and so quickly. That hour and 9 minutes just flew by. I love the fonts that you used and I appreciate so much that you gave us the files to cut the Smile title and the Pool title along with the fonts. Now that’s learning at it’s best. Thanks Klo for being open to suggestions. You’re wonderful. Have fun see ing your grandson. I’m looking forward to the next class in a few weeks.
    Thanks,
    Debbie
