Holiday Cupcake Gift Box

Holiday Cupcakes with Holly Berries

If you are still feeling stuffed from one too many pieces of pie, we have just the sweet treat for you today. We’ve whipped up some holiday cupcakes that won’t add a single inch to your waistline. These little cupcakes are life-size and can be opened to hold tasty treats or glued together for a decoration. Stick a flag in the top to use as place cards for a holiday party. The cutting file includes paper berries, but we’ve added pom-poms and rhinestones as the berries on our cupcakes. You can also use buttons or brads and make each cupcake unique.
Have fun baking up a paper treat!

Very cute idea. I’m going to give empty ones to everybody that says they are dieting. That’s what they’ll get for lying.

For those who can’t afford to buy the Bazzill paper due to a minimum of $300 for an opening order, can you tell us what the weight of the paper used is? Thanks, Karen

I think these will be great on the table instead of the traditional crackers, filled with little goodies they will be unique. Great idea

Karen, there are many online stores that sell small quantities of Bazzill paper including Amazon. If you are a store owner or business you can get Bazzill from distributors such as Notions or Peterson-Arne.

I did an internet search for Bazzill paper weights and came up with 80-90 lb coverstock weight.

Don’t know if anyone else had a problem, but I could not get the top to sit on the “liner” part of the bottom easily. Had to “squish” bottom into top and then it would not sit evenly…kept tilting because the excess from the liner would push it off.

Judith-The file was created for the base to fit very tight into the top to keep it together. To account for differing paper weights, try shrinking the base peice just a very small amount before cutting it out.
