Make Dad’s Day Special with a Simple Pop-Up Card

Thanks Dad For Everything Card FrontThanks Dad For Everything Card Inside Angle Most of us want to make the cards we give to anyone in our family as special as we possibly can. I often am told that cards for Dad can be a challenge. Maybe it is because we are trying to say so much in one little card, or maybe we want the message to be unique and not silly or trivial. Whatever the reason, it seems that no card will ever say it all.

Today’s lesson will show you how to make a simple pop-up card that can be used for any occasion including Father’s Day. While this card looks like it takes a lot of work to make, it is actually very quick and easy to do. It is simple enough for a beginner to make but more advanced Pazzles designers can take this above and beyond.

The stamp on the front of the Thanks Dad card has the year of Dad’s birth. It was made with the Inspiration Embossing Tool, Embossing Mat, and Spellbinders Media Mixáge Metal sheets. I used alcohol ink to color it then sanded after the ink dried. You could also use the Pen Tool to draw the stamp.

What you say in the card, be it silly or sentimental, is entirely up to you. Either way, Dad will definitely feel special when he sees the effort you made to give him this pop up card. Watch the tutorial below to see how the pop up part is created. Then be sure to download the cutting files for the Dad card and the Zoo card.
