DIY Paper Sailboats
Need help coming up with a way to keep kids entertained at your next family get together? These cute boats would be perfect for a family reunion. Race them across a pool, or out on the creek like I did with mine. Not only are they simple to assemble but you can create several in no time and have enough for the whole family.
Knowing they would be used in the water, we laminated the base of ours so they would last longer and hot glued the seams. These would also be adorable filled with candy for a party. So whatever makes your boat float this summer, set sail and have fun!
Supplies:
- Bazzill Basics Cardstock
- Patterned Paper
- Twine
- Prima Chalk Edgers
- Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
- Popsicle Sticks
- Life Saver Candy (optional)
- Eyelet (optional)

As a retiree,I now have another reason to use my laminating machine that I used for my class as a teacher. I love these paper sailboats. My grandson and his second cousin would love this. Now I have get to designing and making them. My challenge for the weekend.

Great kid favors for a family reunion!!
Linda, I love using a laminating machine too! It is the teacher in me that loved cutting out the laminated name tags for the kids desks. Now we have a new reason to keep using the laminators…hope you have fun making the boats!
