There are a lot of really great images here in the Craft Room library—designs that range from basic silhouettes to the more elaborate paper piecing images. I love the little details in paper piecing designs. That got me thinking how much fun these die cuts can be on a scrapbook page or card, like moving propellers on planes or rotating wheels on cars and buses and even windows and doors that open and close. It reminded me how awesome all those pop up books were when I was a kid. My mom spent a lot of time taping pages back together to make sure all the pieces still moved. I think Klo can attest to the endless hours of love and tear her son gave his scrapbook pages that she made for him over the years. Nothing says well loved like well worn.
This helped spur an idea to take some of those designs and turn them in to paper dolls, which I’ve done for today’s project. You can even laminate the pieces to ensure they’ll last through hours of playtime, whether you’re traveling on vacation in the car, or need a quiet toy for your next outing or appointment with the kids. It’s amazing what a few brads can do to bring a project to life and the endless hours of fun it can give kids. Roundup your little tikes and let this cowpoke help keep them entertained for you, or let this pretty mermaid help give their imagination a splash of fun.
