Recently, Pazzles has been providing us with some lovely sketches which include cutting files ready for download available in the Pazzles Craft Room. If you have not tried any of the Cut And Paste Sketches so far, I urge you to have a go. Once you have downloaded the sketch cutting file all you need to do is import the sketch cutting file into your Pazzles software. For my project I used the Circle Spotlight Card sketch.
Now the difficult bit…….decisions! Choose your coordinating paper and cardstock and cut according to the design. You don’t even need to stick to the design and you can use all, some, or one element(s) of the design in your project.
For my DT project today, I decided to Print & Cut the Miss Kate Cuttables, Birds in Nest file found in the Craft Room Library. I created my circle and made an inline to create my blue circle border. I then spent some time and layered up the birds in the nest wpc/svg file. Once, I was happy, I Print & Cut my design, having referred to the video tutorial Using Cutting Files for Print and Cut, which explains how to use registration boxes for accurate cuts every time.
I centered the Birds in Nest (topper) inside the Spellbinders Blossoms Five Nestability cutting file, found in the Pazzles Store, but you could use the scalloped design included in the sketch, if you so wished.
And, there it is, all the hard work taken out of designing a card from scratch, but still being able to stamp your style onto your project depending what image and papers you choose. Enjoy, and have fun.
