Join the Pazzles Design Team this week as we share a few of our favorite things with you.
Hello crafty friends, Melinda here with you today. Our theme this week is Favorite Things. We were to use and or incorporate some of our favorite things in our projects. So here is what I came up with. My favorite thing hands down is my Pazzles Inspiration Vue. This machine literally changed my crafting. I went from hand drawing and hand cutting my paper piecings to being able to create and cut some of the most intricate designs. Aside from the machine my second favorite thing is the software. The software allows you to design your layouts before you cut a thing. I love that it works so much like many of our other programs. I can even insert the pictures I am going to use in my layout. Here is what I mean:
Creating my layouts this way, allows me to really get down to the nitty gritty of my pieces. So for this layout, I used a combination of files from three of the awesome Cut and Paste Sketches that Michelle created for Pazzles’ recent National Scrapbook Day event (Dreamy Day, Life Is Good, My Family) I was able to use the pieces by combining them in the software and tweaking them here and there to fit this layout. I then turned to my second favorite thing….PAPER!!! Yep, I am a self-admitted paper junkie…probably like most of you crafters too! So I turned to one of my newer stacks, the DCWV Chick Chat Stack. I loved the vibrant and fun colors of this stack and decided it went perfectly with my photo. Lastly, I used some little diamond and sequin accents for my layout. They were plain white and silver so I used my alcohol markers to give them some color. That’s pretty much it! If I could only have ONE thing for crafting….it would be my beloved Pazzles!

Honestly this is one of my favorite features of the Pazzles Vue. The ability to design your layout and see it in it’s entirety, then knowing when you cut it out everything will be the right size and fit perfectly is beyond fabulous! Basically beyond a few small tidbit you actually make your own embellishments in the process…who knew?
So glad you were inspired to think beyond the layouts crochetin 🙂 Will look forward to seeing what you dream up in the gallery section. Heidi, you are so right…I love that I can save so much money by creating my own embellishments with our machines. It is amazing what can be done with it 🙂
