We are counting down until our 13 night cruise at the end of October and are looking forward to some warmer weather around the South Pacific.
These custom luggage tags are a great way to celebrate a long-awaited vacation and are so quick to create.
I simply created an oversize (5×3) rectangle and then rounded the corners. This is the base for your luggage tags. To create a slot for your ribbon or laces to go through create another rectangle in a smaller size and round the corners of that too.
Now for the fun part – go through the craft room library and choose a fun image to add to tag with a catchy phrase or quote.
For this project I’ve used the print and cut process and then I ran the tags through my laminator to protect them. Once they’ve gone through the laminator you will need to cut out the slot with a sharp craft knife.
I will be using the Dymo sticker label machine for our contact details and stick that to the reverse side.
As I was making these it occurred to me that I could make similar tags for the kids’ school bags. They can be personalized for each child with their class details and then kept each year as a memento of that year.
I’ve included the files that I created, but be sure and have fun creating some luggage tags of your own.
