Mother's Day Exploding Box

Mother’s Day Exploding Box Card

Creating original pieces and making someone feel extra special is why I love my Inspiration Vue so much. It enables us to create so many amazing pieces with the vast array of files to choose from in the Craft Room library or created from scratch. I’ve wanted to make an exploding card box for some time, and now I’ve done one to share with you today. You could whip one of these up as quickly as you like, or spend a bit of extra time to decorate each exterior face and interior section with detailed embellishments. I decided to keep my design fairly simple using multiples of the same files to decorate, but adding extra dimension by running pieces through the Sizzix Texture Boutique, inking the edges and taking a little extra time to make flowers. The base of the card is simple – layering it with texture and colour is what makes it special. I used the Heart Fence file to decorate the outside of the box.

Earth Day Custom Tee Shirt

Earth Day is Friday and there are many ways you can celebrate this day. I have chosen a custom tee shirt project using the Pazzles Iron on Vinyl. Using only one Craft Room file, Think Green, I ungrouped everything so I could weld the trunk of the tree with the leafy part. This means it will cut out as one piece, and you get a better idea for how it looks as a silhouette. The text is already welded. Click on Wire Frame to double check if in doubt with any file. Next, I added the hashtag #earthday in Blackjack font and also welded that together so it cut in one piece.

Vintage Country Birthday Banner

Belle here today sharing with you a vintage banner I made for my daughter’s 10th Birthday party last month. We decided on a blend of Wild West and Vintage Country using lace, burlap, red gingham, hay bales and plenty of Country Music! It was a great party. I knew I wanted to make a banner, and when I came across the Lucky Dip burlap pennants in my local Kaisercraft store I knew I had to have them for this very project.

Graduate Gift Card Holder and Box

Graduation Gift Card Holder and ...

Graduations are just around the corner, and what better way to surprise the graduate in your life than with a card and gift box all in one? This file was created using the matchbox file as a base. I added a section to the side which becomes the easel card sitting on top. I enlarged the file to cover my 12x12 mat so the card was a decent size. It also means that the box is large enough to hold a gift card or a jewelry box for example.

Bookmarks

DIY Bookmarks for your Bookworm

Do you have someone in your life who loves to read? Is that bookworm you? Bookmarks can be so much more than just a page marker. They can hold a special message, or a favourite quote, and they can be pretty to look at. Here, I’ve created three different bookmarks that you can either make for yourself, as gifts, or use them as favours for parties or class gifts.

Christmas Wreath Gift Tag

Christmas is inching closer and closer, isn’t it? We’ve all got to-do lists about a mile long and wondering if we’ll ever cross everything off it! Well, I’ve got a quick solution to your gift tag woes! If you haven’t used print & cut yet, take five minutes and calibrate your cutter with your printer. You’ll be using this method so often you’ll wonder why you didn’t do it earlier!

Christmas Treat Bag Toppers

Wow! How close is Christmas?! Every year seems to go by faster and faster doesn’t it? That being said, we are bringing you some great Christmas projects this holiday season. Today is a quick and easy treat bag toppers project that will make you smile!

Pretty Birthday Card

Hi guys! It’s Belle here today sharing with you my version of Melin's PCW double square shaped with flowers card. I haven't done many cards lately so it was nice to get back into it. This card packs a punch with it's beautiful latticework and curved edges. Anyone would feel special receiving this card.

Thanksgiving/Fall Cutlery Pockets

One thing I love about this Design Team position with Pazzles is that I get to try new things. You see, we don't celebrate Thanksgiving here in Australia, so creating a project for that was great fun for me. As some of you will know, I love to host a dinner party or two and that is an excuse to make things for the table! This cutlery pocket was an excellent opportunity to try out something new for my dinner tables! Creating great table décor is at your fingertips with the amazing craft room files available.

Halloween Masks

Two masks that would be perfect for a masquerade party. Your masks can be as simple or as elaborate as you please.

Home Decor

Today I’m sharing a project with you that I’ve been wanting to do for ages – a family monogram for our front door. This file was so easy to put together and it’s so much fun designing and coming up with new ideas.

What’s the time Mr. Wolf?

Back to school is such a frantic time of year for the children and for parents, but exciting too. Do you have young ones who are learning to tell the time? If so, this project is perfect for them, and for the older children who may need to practice their time telling skills. With a bit of out of the box thinking, this pretty ‘floral’ clock complete with leaves for the minute and hour hands will be a fun way to help your kids tell the time.

Happy Harvest

Happy Harvest What a beautiful time of year Fall/Autumn is. The colours, the weather and the sound of crunching leaves underfoot. It’s also a great time to celebrate the beautiful offerings nature has to give with fresh produce ripe for the picking. My quick little project is a great gift bag made from the square purse cutting file, which includes the cute bow cut file.

Candle Wraps

Candles are such a beautiful addition to a table setting or as home décor pieces, and what better way to jazz up your next dinner party than to quickly whip up your own candle decoration to sit your flameless candles in?

Crafting with Kids: Bookmarks

“Muuuummmm! I’m bored!” Is this something you’re hearing a lot at the moment with the children on summer break or on the weekends? A quick virtual trip to the Pazzles Craft Room Library could turn the nagging into some constructive, (and creative) time by cutting out some cute animal friends to turn into bookmarks. You could cut out a group of them and the children can do the assembly work and make some for their friends.

Easel Cut and Fold Card

Combining Cut Files: Easel Card ...

Have you downloaded the Cut and Fold Medallions 2 Collection yet? I did as soon as they were released! I love how the machine does all the work for you to create these amazing little gems. I used them to make a Halloween banner last year which you can find here. I have used the Cut and Fold Medallions on cards before, but not quite like this.

Formal Suit Card

A fancy formal suit card that is can be used for a wedding, formal event, or any time you need the perfect masculine card.

File folder labels

Creating a Home Paperwork Station

Today I’m sharing a super quick and easy project to help get you organized. Our family command centre is coming together and my magazine rack from IKEA has just been mounted to the wall for all our documents that used to get dumped on the kitchen bench. The 4 x 6 Thursday to Sunday frames file is so quick to cut out and using a patterned paper for the centre piece as well as adding some paper flowers give them a lift. I printed straight onto the card stock for each ‘label’ instead of cutting the text out, and inked all edges of my cardstock with Copic markers.

Favorite Things Creativity Framed Quote

Design Team Favorite Things: Framed ...

Join the Pazzles Design Team this week as we share a few of our favorite things with you. My favourite thing – I have so many, but when it comes to cutting files, this vintage frame is my go to file and has become a favourite. Couple that with this terrific quote, and two of my favourite things come together to make a lovely home décor piece for my craft room. “Being creative is not a HOBBY – It’s a way of LIFE!"
