Popup Piano Poinsettia Card

This popup card is sure to please its recipient, with its lovely 3D poinsettias, and a surprising popup when it is opened. You may use the poinsettias on cards, packages, gift bags, or home décor projects.

Musicians will appreciate the keys that are depressed on the popup keyboard that represent a chord to emphasize the harmony of the season.

The title can be changed to any of your choice. I added sparkle ink to this text for additional bling for the season.

This is a lovely Christmas card, but its elements may be used for any occasion, depending on how you decorate it. This decorative paper from Heartfelt Creations was fun to use for this project because it has musical notes incorporated into the design, keeping with the theme of Christmas Harmony.

I have used this popup design as a birthday card for my musician friends. I change out the title and colors to create personalized gift cards.

Supplies:

Heavy Cardstock: Recollections 300 grams cardstock, black for the outside and white for the inside and poinsettias
Decorative Paper: Heartfelt Creations Sparkling Poinsettia for the card front and Festive Holly Collection for the inside.
Medium Weight Cardstock: Recollections 65# red and yellow cardstock
Sparkle Pens: Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens used on the poinsettia pieces, text, and accents on the printed paper.
Stamens: The cutting file includes a template for the stamens. However I chose to use Bright Bead Stamens for the large poinsettia, and Go Man Go Prills for the smaller ones.
Flower Shaping Tools and pad.
Gold Glitter Pen .08 was used with the
Pazzles Pen Tool to draw veins on the poinsettia petals and leaves.
Inks and Daubers: Use ink pads or pens from your collection to add color to the cut poinsettia pieces. To get the dark burgundy and green colors and shading that I wanted, I used some
Chameleon pens: RD5, GR2, and YL2
