I love advent calendars but I am just never on top of getting one in time. By the time I think of it, it’s Dec 10 and I have already missed the boat! That’s why I am so in love with this re-usable, simple mason jar that you can start any time you want.

Just count the number of days until the event and fill with Hershey’s kisses. If you are around Valentine’s Day or Christmas you can even get the ones in color coordinating wrappings.
There is a cute little rhyme tag that explains how to use the jar. Your recipient gets to eat a little delicious bit of chocolate every day and has a nice visual representation of how many days are left until the big day. When the jar is empty, the day has arrived!
I love this idea for little ones too who always have a little trouble understanding how many days until Christmas.
